FAQ for Parents

Who will be instructing the classes?  Classes will be taught by Dr. Kendra Fairman, Alena Kupchella Gourley and Tiffany Chan.

Feel free to read more about us here.

Our instructors have all pertinent clearances to work with children.

What kind of activities will the girls be doing?  While we don't want to give away all the fun, you can expect daily yoga, journaling, d.i.y. body care workshops, nutrition, art and much more.  Hands-on, low-tech and lots of fun!

I'm concerned about the large age range, will my ten year old be able to keep up or will my fifteen year old be bored?  We very purposefully have a large age range, we feel that two very important concepts include learning to be a mentor and learning to be supportive of every woman.  We are mindful of the age range and have activities planned that will support cooperation and learning from others.

What is included in the binder?  Our take-home binders include our own content for our classes as well as lots of self-guided activities to keep the wisdom flowing after they leave!  Think of it as a personal, creative, lightly structured workbook for the girls.

Should the girls bring a lunch?  Yes, the girls will need to bring a brown bag lunch with them.   We will have healthy snack options and of course the girls are welcome to bring their favorite healthy snacks as well.

This sounds wonderful, but we just can't afford it right now, do you have any scholarships available?  We are hoping to offer scholarships should the money become available.  Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Will you be tackling any of the tough subjects, such as anatomy and menstruation? YES!  But only if you would like us to.  Dr. Fairman will be teaching an entirely optional class on Friday afternoon from 2-4.  If you would like to have your child attend this class, be sure to add this to your registration!  This is not a sex-ed class!  It will strictly be an opportunity for girls to learn about their bodies and menstruation in a positive way... no talk of "the curse" here!

"This opened up a much easier dialogue between us on various subjects, some of which we hadn't taken time to really talk about. It was great to have a jumping off point for a lot of that."

"I loved that she came home excited to talk about all she had learned every day."
